Facebook, Internet Security, & Websites

The Hibbing Community College is offering classes on Social Networking because of the constant growth and change in communication.
  • Facebook I - This introductory Facebook class is designed for beginners. If you are interested in establishing a Facebook account and learning how to use Facebook to converse with family/friends, reunite with friends from your past, or meet someone new…..this class is for you! March 16, 2010 6pm-8pm $29
  • Facebook II - This intermediate class will teach you some of the more advanced features of Facebook such as: security, applications, photos, videos, pages, and more… Participants should already have a Facebook account. Feel free to bring your camera and/or videos to upload and fill your photo albums, change your profile pictures, etc. If you want to do more with Facebook, this class is for you! March 30, 2010 6pm-8pm $29
  • Basic Internet Security is taught in three modules, each 3 hours in length and will teach individuals basic Internet technology skills. There is no pre-requisite requirement. April 14, 21, 28 6pm-9pm $117
  • Create Your Own Web Page - This course focuses on the design, development, and maintenance of World Wide Web pages using the Extensible Hyper Text Markup Language (XHTML). Students learn how to manage Web page fonts, colors, and graphics and will create Web pages which include text, images, tables, frames, forms, and image maps. Students will use cascading style sheets (CSS) to control and format Web page content. - When: March 24, 31, April 7 (Wednesdays) Time: 6pm—9pm Cost: $129
