Minnesota does pretty well nationally. But the numbers behind the statistics are not quite as positive - and Minnesota employers have known this for a long time. Only 73 percent of Minnesota seniors graduated on time in 2007. MnSCU reports that nearly 40% of students need remedial learning; and Minnesota has the second highest achievement gap in the country.
Join us for a discussion addressing necessary education reforms that will improve the quality of our future workforce by addressing ways to close the achievement gap, and improve student outcomes including high quality teachers; and learn about ways that your voice can be heard to make these changes.
Please confirm your attendance by contacting Kim Anderson at kanderson@mnchamber.com or 651-292-4676 or the Hibbing Area Chamber of Commerce at 218-262-3895 .
